Ways to be an advocate in your own community include:

• Understand the change you want
• Learn about community issues
• Promote Awareness
• Be Creative
• Attend a training and/or presentations
• Encourage Use of Drop Boxes to safely dispose of medications
• Be a good friend and listener
• Fundraise for organizations that do prevention work
