Create a legacy, leave the gift of a lifetime!

Legacy giving is the act of a donor choosing to leave a gift to a non-profit organziation as part of their end of life planning. As a charitable donation, each person’s reason to give is unique to them, however a main aspect of doing so is knowing that you’ve created a living legacy that aids in supporting non-profits with their continued missions and goals.

By choosing Alliance for Healthy Communities (AHC) as your legacy giving recipient, you become a lasting part of the movement to prevent substance misuse, support mental well-being, and build a healthier Pasco County. Your gift directly supports our coalitions-ASAP, our substance use prevention coalition; STAND, our youth-led movement for healthy choices; and SAFE, our suicide prevention initiative-while sustaining the future of AHC as a whole. Together, we reduce barriers, expand access to care, and create lasting change so every person can thrive physically, mentally, and socially. Legacy giving examples:

Bequests: Given through a will in the form of cash, property, stocks, or a portion of their estate. MOst common and simplest.

Life Insurance: Given by designating AHC as one of the beneficiaries of their life insurance policy. Or if the policy is no longer needed, the accumulated value can be donated.

Retirement Fund: AHC can also be listed as one of the beneficiaries of their retirement assets, like their IRA< 401(k), or pension.

Charitable Gift Annuities: The donor gives a large amount of money to the nonprofit. The nonprofit then pays the donor a set annual income form that donation until the pay period ends (usually when the donor passes). After that, AHC gets the remaining funds.

Alliance for Healthy Communities is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 85-8018201655C-1). Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for detail.
