Change Begins with You(th) 2nd Annual Youth Leadership Summit

STAND Above the Influence is a youth-led coalition that focuses on bringing community members together to inspire advocacy and create change. Last year we hosted 50 youth for a day-long Summit that inspired youth to look around their community and identify ways to make it better.  We are getting ready for our 2nd annual event and is organized by youth and features their voices! Please join us Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 10AM - 3PM Pasco Hernando State College 10230 Ridge Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34654. The high-energy FREE event features a DJ, Lunch, Prizes and lots of Inspiration. All Pasco County Middle and High School Youth are invited to attend. Breakfast is $10 per person- Pancakes, sausage, orange juice, coffee - and all proceeds go to Helping Children in Need, LLC - to purchase gifts for Pasco county kiddos this holiday season, STAND's annual community service project. In honor of National Human Trafficking month, STAND Youth Coalition is pleased to offer the presentation “Sex, Lies, and Media” by Selah Freedom. This presentation is for middle and high school youth and discusses the ways that the online world can be used to exploit teens and arms youth with easy-to-employ prevention strategies. If your kiddo has a phone, social media or plays online games, this is a presentation they should not miss. Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5:30 to 7 pm. New Port Richey Recreation Center, 6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey, FL 34653. No need to register, refreshments will be served. Community Service Hours provided for attending this event.
